Sweater Day One CurrentMarketing

Dec 8

That's right - just 24 hours until the start of the acclaimed CurrentMarketing holiday sweater blog! Having personally seen this year's assortment of sweater-y loveliness, suffice it to say that this will be a holiday treat the likes of which you have never seen or tasted.

Tune in tomorrow for our first submission!

We bring our series to a close with our CTO, affectionately known only as The Bouv. You'd think the fact that he just celebrated his tenth anniversary with CurrentMarketing would mean he's, like, old. But, he's not. All we'll say is that it may or may not have been legal for him to work when he started here.

All hail the Bouv:

The site I go to most changes from time to time, depending on what I'm researching or studying.  In the past couple of weeks, that site has been The Flex Show -- specifically their archives.  Not sure how I overlooked them this whole time I've been playing with Flex, but I have a lot of episodes to catch up on so I've been going there recently.

And on a personal and totally nerdy note, I've also been going to Daily MTG...well, daily.  Yeah, yeah, I play Magic.  Shut up.

After touring a paper mill and risking life...well, at least limb...to run a printing press this week, Melanie Rouse Browning made light work of churning out her pulpy blog entry!

Her site of choice:

Google is my "go to friend" for finding anything.  Whether I'm mapping out driving directions, researching promotional items and print techniques or searching for a movie character that someone mentions and I've never heard of, I'm usually able to get the answers I need quickly from the Google. Have you Googled your name lately?  Try it!  You may be surprised at the information that comes up.

Before the blog hits the town on the bar crawl tonight for its 21st birthday, it asked Megan Snider, its favorite drinking buddy, to write an entry.

She took a moment from boozing it up to crank this out:

I use BzzAgent and take surveys about my lifestyle - then they pair me up with product offers. I get to try things for free, pass them out to my friends and talk about them. It's word of mouth marketing at its best, not to mention you get free stuff and really good coupons.

Marti, Marti, the one-woman party, lends her flava to the blog-stravaganza with her entry in our favorite sites series:

I enjoy "What's next" by B.L. Ochman. Ochman is an Internet marketer and internationally known blogger. The site has a wide variety of content, but is also very well organized.

What do web traffic analysis and drinking wine have in common? Nick Ising loves both! Simultaneously. No kidding!

Nick's sites:

I love Google analytics!  I visit at least daily to monitor client site traffic.  We're big on results at Current and this lets me track impact of traditional and digital media on web traffic.

I also frequently visit Winespiritsdaily.com. It is a great resource for keeping up with the beverage industry for our growing list of wine, spirits and RTD brands.  Some industry trends/news also has implications for our casual dining restaurant clientele.
